Salt spray test of hose clamp for agricultural project in Europe
Salt spray test is also named as salt fog test.It’s standard method to test the corrossion resistance of hose clamps.
Xinyu company have stable cooperation with a famous hardware distributor in Europe,part of their clamps are used for farm.Becuase the hose clamps always work in water or acid environment.They need clamps with good corrossion resistance .So they can work well in complicated enviroment.
In order to make sure our materials can meet their use requirements,our QC always do Salt spray test for our hose clamps.In this week,we did a new test in our laboratory.The test specimens are heavy duty hose clamp,double bolt hose clamp and British type hose clamp.The material is stainless steel and zinc plated steel.Our executive standard is ISO9227(The executive standard of American type hose clamp is ASTM B117).
According to ISO9227,there is three kinds of salt solution.
Neutral salt spray(NSS)
Acetic acid salt spray(AASS)
Copper-accelerated acetic acid salt spray(CASS)
QC use AASS for this test.The test duration is 24hours.The test temperature is 35°C.
The test result is good and meet ISO9227 requirements.
