Exhaust clamps are designed to connect different types of exhaust pipes. There is many styles.

U bolt clamps,Narrow band clamp,Coupler clamp,butt joint band clamp,lap joint band clamp,V band clamp,ball zone exhaust clamp.

We will compare them in 4 pionts

Sealability – The wrong clamp can create a loose exhaust seal, resulting in poor fuel economy, high emissions and – in some cases – the release of dangerous exhaust fumes into the cabin.

Durability – Some clamps provide longer service life than others, and using the wrong one can easily turn a muffler into a road hazard.

Serviceability – Clamps designed to be removable allow vehicle components near the muffler to be serviced without damaging the vehicle’s exhaust system.

Cost effective – User can get good result with lower cost.

U bolt clamps are cost effective, the cost is low,but it’s poor Serviceability.

Narrow band clamp is Durability and Serviceability, the cost is much higher than U bolt clamps.

Coupler clamp is Sealability,Durability and Serviceability, the cost is highest.

Butt joint band clamp is to connect equal diameter, mainly used for trucks. It’s Serviceability.

Lap joint band clamp is similar as Butt joint band clamp but used for step pipes.

V band clamp is used to connect flanged pipe.

Ball zone exhaust clamp is used to connect ball zone pipe.
